Description

flair it fittingIn the early days of RVs, copper and brass plumbing was the way to go. Then, manufacturers turned to plastic. Cheaper and easier to work with, plastic was perfect for RVs, the only problem being they could crack and they needed crimp rings to secure them to the tubing. With all the problems that created (leaking, cracking, extra effort), a new solution was needed. Here at RecPro.com, we have that solution. Introducing Flair-It fittings.

These pipe fittings are the perfect solution for a variety of reasons. First, they are not tool-based. With older insert fittings, you would need the fitting, a crimp ring, and a clamp to secure the ring. And if you didn't clamp it down just right, it would leak or crack over time, causing you to have to fix your plumbing all over again. Flair-it compression fittings are secured without the use of a tool and don't need a crimp ring to stay on. The tubing is connected to the plumbing fitting through the use of compression. Simple wiggle the tubing onto the flared end, screw the compression cap over top of the tube end and enjoy a leak-proof pipe connection. That's right, I said leak-proof. Unlike the insert fittings of the past, these compression pipe fittings are made of durable solid plastic and are crack-resistant, rust-resistant, don't leak, don't need any plumber's tape, can hold up to 90 pounds of pressure, and create the best plumbing connection on the market today. How's that for quality! That's not all, though. Unlike the insert fittings and crimp rings of the past, these fittings are PEX fittings and gray tubing fittings. These two types of tubing are the most common in RVs and if can be confusing to know which pipe fitting to get that will work on them. With these compression pipe connectors, you won't need to worry. They work on both types of tubing and can even transition from one type to another. Simple and effective, these compression pipe fittings are exactly what your RV's plumbing system needs.

Tighten-to-compress fittings

fitting set

These specific fittings are couplings. They are used to connect two pipes together in a straight line, as when you have to remove a piece of tubing and need to connect a second piece or when you are using the two different types of tubing. Each side of this coupling has the flared ends and compression screw caps. These fittings are sold as a single piece, a 2 pack, or a 5 pack. There is also a wrench available to assist with installation, if needed.
