Old standard hide-a-beds were pretty common for RVers not long ago. Unfortunately, 'not long ago' can feel like another time period when it comes to how far furniture has come. Hidden beds in sofas used to be bulky, uncomfortable, and hard to store. It was a nice idea to be able to pull out an extra bed for passengers, but because it was such a chore, people quickly grew tired of it.
Our tri-fold sofa gives you all the convenient benefits of a hide-a-bed without any of the annoying or inconvenient features.
First, you don't have to worry about a bulky mattress. Mattresses can be hard to store in a sofa, no matter how easy any given hide-a-bed claims to be. The mattresses found in these kinds of beds can usually be uncomfortable, and hard to get a good night's rest on. We've eliminated the need for that bulky mattress altogether. Our tri-fold sofas transform from a sofa to a bed in a matter of minutes. There are no difficult frames to work with and no mattress to set up.
Space Saver Sofa
We understand that saving space is extremely important in an RV. Having multiple beds isn't exactly practical, and having a bed that folds out in your living area needs to be something you can put away at a moment's notice. After all, you don't want to be stepping over someone's sleeping space in the middle of the day when you're just trying to watch TV.
That's why our tri-fold sofa only takes four easy steps in order to completely transform. That means, you can fold out the sofa at night when you're ready to go to sleep, and you might be able to actually be half-asleep while doing it. In the morning, fold it back together in minutes and you're ready to hit the road and relax on your comfortable sofa.
Keep in mind that we didn't compromise quality and comfort for convenience. They co-exist beautifully in our tri-fold sofas. When you use it as a traditional sofa, you'll love the fact that it's comfortable and soft, but it won't flatten out over time. Because we use the same cushions from the sofa and not a separate mattress for the bed, that same comfort is there while you're sleeping!
Installation couldn't be easier. We ship our tri-fold sofas with a removeable backrest (don't worry, it couldn't be easier to install!). That means you'll be able to get the sofa through even the tightest spaces. It doesn't matter if you have a huge rig, a small mobile home, or even a studio apartment. These sofas can fit through almost any doorway and won't take up much space.
Customized for You
We believe that you RV furniture should be a reflection of your personality, and also fit your specific needs and wants. That's one reason the tri-fold sofa is so impressive. Not only does it work 'double duty' as a piece of furniture, but it can fit your sense of style, too.
Like all of our furniture, you can choose a tri-fold sofa in a variety of different colors. These include toffee, espresso, mahogany and putty. The material we use on our furniture is a strong and durable faux leather. It's easy to hold up to a rough life on the road, and can also handle spills and accidents very well. Simply wipe up your mess and you're good to go!
When you need an extra sleeping space on your rig, you don't need to settle for something that might actually cause you to lose sleep. Don't let those old hide-a-beds come calling. Not only are they uncomfortable, but they take forever to put away. Because of that, you probably won't even use it that much!
But, our tri-fold sofa can be converted in minutes and provides all the comfort you could ask for. Start saving space in your living area, and doing it with style that matches your other RecPro furniture. As always, if you order before 2:00pm, well ship your tri-fold sofa to you today!
Trifold Installation Instructions
*We recommend that two people work together to install the Trifold Sofa*
*The Trifold Sofa comes in several disassembled pieces: the main body, back cushion, two tapered back armrests, two cushions, legs and hardware, and clips*
Step 1: Add feet
Take out the main body, legs, and leg hardware.
Using the bolts provided, attach the legs to each of the four corners of the Trifold, with the larger side of the legs facing the sofa.
Step 2: Add clips
Take out the back cushion (the large rectangle cushion) and the clips.
On the back cushion, find the bottom side (the longer side that has the zipper running along it). On either side of the bottom of this cushion, there are two small holes. The clips go here.
Insert the bolt on the clip into the hole. No hardware is needed to secure them. They are not specific for either side; they are interchangeable.
Step 3: Attach back cushion
Pull the bottom cushions out into a mattress by pulling up on the seat cushion, extending both of the mattress support legs, and lowering them onto the floor.
Insert the clips on either side of the back cushion into the black clips on either side of the back of the main body. The strip of Suprima fabric on the back cushion should be facing forward. No hardware is needed for this step, however, it is important to lower both sides of the back cushion at the same time to make it easier.
Once the two clips are in place, lower the back cushion forward onto the seat of the sofa.
Step 4: Add back armrests
Take out the two tapered back armrests.
On the bottom of each armrest are clips that correspond to the two clips on the ends of the main body.
The clips taper in towards the center of the sofa. Paying attention to the tapered ends of the clips, slide the back armrests onto either end of the main body of the sofa.
Once the arms are on, flip the back cushion up and pull the seat cushions back up into the sofa, making sure to push the bed support bars back into the couch. It is very important to make sure that the support bars are not extended when you lower the seat cushions back onto the sofa, as they may damage the material if left out.
Step 5: Add cushions
Once the back and seat cushions are back in place, you can add the two cushions left, completing the sofa.
