Acrylic plastic is very similar to polycarbonate and has some great benefits. You wouldn’t want a skylight that will crack and break at the first sign of trouble, would you?

Less Heat Transfer
There is another benefit to this easy-to-install outer dome and the optional inner dome skylight. With many single-layer skylights, those consisting of only an outer dome, significant heat transfer can be a common problem. The optional inner dome helps with this issue, as it traps a pocket of air between itself and the outer dome. This pocket of trapped air can help prevent heat from transferring into your rig in warm weather or heat transferring out of your rig during cold weather. This 14”x22” outer dome and optional inner dome skylight are simple to install but do not include tools or hardware for installation.

Options
There are several options for our outer dome skylight, apart from the optional inner dome. First up are the four color options - Clear, White, Smoke, and Crackle. The second option you can choose is to include the optional trim ring. The optional trim ring helps cover up the inner sides and edges of your skylight hole so that it doesn’t look like an eyesore, giving your skylight set up a much more attractive appearance.
