Description

flair it fittingIn the older days of RVs, copper and brass fittings were used for the plumbing system. While these materials are good for some applications, an entire plumbing system of these hard materials just didn't work. So then, manufacturers turned to plastic. These worked better, however, they ran into problems with leaks and cracking. If this sounds familiar to you and you have had problems with your insert fittings and crimp rings in your plumbing system, let me introduce you to a product that will fix your plumbing worries; Flair-it fittings.

Flair-it fittings are an amazing new type of plumbing connector that gives you a sturdy and reliable connection without the crimp rings of the past. What used to happen was plastic or brass insert connectors would be used along with copper crimp rings. While most RV companies used these, they would run into troubles in the long run, with the crimp rings damaging the fitting, causing leaks, and not allowing for easy fixing of the affected area. With these new fittings, however, you can prevent these problems from occurring. As tighten-to-compress fittings, they use the tube's own tough quality to hold it to the connector. By inserting the flared end into the tubing and screwing the swiveling head over the tube, you create a seal that can withstand 90 pounds of pressure, doesn't damage the tubing, doesn't require a crimp ring, and has the best connection on the market. Rust-resistant and crack-resistant, you don't even need plumber's tape to install it. Because they have the flared end, these plumbing fittings are able to be used with both PEX tubing and gray tubing. Being both a PEX connector and a gray tube connector, it can be used with older and newer RVs. There is a wrench available to help with installation, however, it is important not to use any lubricants to install the fitting.
