Many years ago, in the history of RVs past, brass was used as the standard material for pipes and pipe fittings. When manufacturers switched to PEX tubing and gray "quest" tubing with plastic insert fittings and copper crimp rings, they were creating a more flexible and cost-effective structure. This created some problems, though. Because of the pressure of the crimp ring on the plastic insert fitting, the fitting would crack and leak. Other times, the crimp ring was applied incorrectly and the seal would not last. Even past these long-term problems, though, because of the way the crimp ring was attached, the fittings could not be moved easily. In an RV, you don't want to be worrying about your tubing or fittings. With these Flair-it fittings, you don't have to.

Created to ease your plumbing woes, these pipe fittings are tighten-to-compress fittings. They have a flared end which is inserted into the tubing as well as a cap that is applied overtop of this area, creating a bond that can withstand up to 90 pounds of pressure. Unlike crimp rings, you don't have to have a different set for either the PEX tubing or the gray tubing. Able to be used on both types with equal quality, these fittings are versatile and don't need a tool. Durable and long-lasting, they are crack-resistant, rust-resistant, leak-proof, don't require tools or plumber's tape, and create the best bond on the market today.
