In the olden days of RV plumbing composition, you had to deal with those leaks and cracks just by buying another fitting that looked just like the old one (which means that in a few years, it will probably break down as well). Those days are over, though. With these Flair-it fittings, the days of leaks, cracks, and frustration is gone.

When RV manufacturers changed the fittings and tubes in their RV to PEX and gray tubing, plastic insert fittings, and copper crimp rings, they solved the flexibility problems of the older brass fittings and tubes but added new problems. The plastic insert fittings would often crack under the stress of the crimp rings, leak after a while, or simply not hold up due to the crimp ring being not being on there tight enough. In addition to these problems, RV users had to use tools they might not have had to put just one fitting together. These fittings solve all of these problems. With the tighten-to-compress quality, they can be applied to both PEX tubing and gray tubing (unlike the insert fittings, which were specific to the two different measurements). No more looking for a fitting specifically for PEX fittings or gray tube fittings! Simply insert the flared end and screw on the cap (no plumber's tape needed). With the simple and tool-less application comes some extra benefits as well. These fittings are the best on the market, creating a connection that can withstand up to 90 pounds of pressure, if crack-proof and rust-proof, and doesn't leak or damage the tubing, as the previous type of fitting had in the past.
