If you're not in your 20s, don't let the title scare you away. This particular list just highlights some experiences those interested in travel and leisure should encounter. While some of these activities are more fitting for those with a carefree, youthful spirit, it's safe to say that you can maintain this same attitude well past your 20s.
While you’re young and don’t care as much about personal space or any particular routine, a hostel may be one of the most memorable experiences you can face while traveling. Hostels are like dorm rooms on the go, often with 8 to 10 people in a single room… with a shared bathroom. While there are certainly some disadvantages to this sort of lodging, the prices are extremely low and the truth is you may meet some really cool people.
There are many sights to see around the world that are mother natures own, but it is also incredible to visit those created by ancient man. The list may go on for days but some man-made locations to get you thinking; the Great Wall of China, the Colosseum, Stonehenge, The Taj Mahal and The Pyramids of Giza.
Volunteering to help in your own community may be inspiration for your decision to travel abroad and volunteer with international causes and organizations. Opportunities exist in education, health, re-building communities, and many more causes. If you are interested in making an international impact some companies to consider may be; GoEco, Global Citizen Year, One World 365, WWOOF or BUNAC. The sites online and companies are plentiful, just doing some research may be the first step.
If you travel with a strict itinerary this may not work but if you enjoy exploring with out an agenda then locals are the most important. Let the bartenders share their best drink with you or the best nightlife. Locals can show you the hidden gems, which may end up being much better than the Trip Advisor suggestions.
You can really dance like no one is watching, or at least like no one you know is. The truth of the matter is that each country or culture has their own music and dances. With that being said, its your time to learn and really feel the music. You can learn in a professional setting by taking a class or in a more relaxed setting like a club. Just hop online and find the dance studios or ask your local bartender.
