Virtual Adventures You Can Go On Right Now

Though it might finally seem like there is a light at the end of the tunnel, many of us are still living under “stay at home” orders. Some states have started to slowly re-open while others are extending orders into the summer.

Even if you are in an area where things are slowly getting back to normal, it’s still important to be cautious and careful around large crowds. Because of that, many families will opt not to take their typical vacations or camping trips this summer.

Does that mean you have to miss out on fun experiences and adventures together? Absolutely not! You can go on plenty of adventures with your crew from the comfort of your own home.

While it might not be exactly the same as the real thing, going on “virtual adventures” can actually be a lot of fun and a great way to visit places you might not otherwise get the chance to. With that in mind, let’s look at a few of the greatest places you can virtually visit right now.

Disney World

Disney World promptly closed all of its parks in March due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and when they will reopen is yet to be determined. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t take a virtual tour of the park itself! You can even check out YouTube videos where some people have specifically created accounts dedicated to Disney rides, and they film them from the front row so it feels like you’re right there riding along! The only thing missing is a Dole Whip!

Manitoba, Canada

If you’ve never considered making the trek to Manitoba before, it’s well worth it to see the famed Northern Lights. But, if going to Canada isn’t in the cards right now, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful sights and natural sounds of Manitoba thanks to the Northern Lights Live Cam. It’s perfect for a ‘date night’ with the one you love, or a relaxing bedtime experience you can enjoy together with your kids before they drift off.

National Parks of the United States

If you’re an avid camper or RVer, the U.S. National Parks are probably some of your favorite locations. Whether you’ve been to many of them or there are a few still on your “to do” list, you can check out every National Park with the help of Google Earth. Not only will you see some incredible views of the parks up close but you might notice things that you wouldn’t always see in person! Why not set a family goal to “visit” one National Park every night until you’ve completed them all. Eventually, you’ll be able to do it in person and you can recall some of the things you learned from your virtual adventure.

Checking out some of these popular destinations online will never be the same. But, as we’re all still trying to get through these uncertain times, virtual adventures are a great way to make the best of a negative situation. Try some of these locations or do your research to discover what other famous sites are available for a virtual adventure, and enjoy the experience!
