Tailgating and Your RV: A Talegate That Brat Us All Together

Tailgating and Your RV: A Talegate That Brat Us All Together

It’s officially football season! Whether you’re a diehard collegiate fan or you root for a specific pro team, there’s one thing we can all agree on: With the right tailgate, everyone wins.

Tailgating with your RV can kick your football party up a notch in a way that traditional parking lot tailgating can’t. So, fire up the grill and crack open a cold beverage. If you’ve never considered tailgating with your RV before, now is the time.

The Comforts of Home

One of the biggest benefits of bringing your RV to the stadium is that you’ll have all the comforts of home with you. If your guests can use a clean, comfortable bathroom in your home on wheels and not have to use a portable one, you’ll instantly be their best friend.

Beyond bathrooms, though, you’ll get to enjoy things like electricity, cold air (or heat, depending on the time of season!), refrigeration, etc. You can even have the game playing on a TV inside the rig so people who aren’t going into the game itself will still be able to enjoy the atmosphere of game day.

Space for Storage, Space for Superfans

Another benefit to consider is the space you’ll have to throw the best tailgate party ever. RVs have loads of storage space. While you might typically use it for things like camping gear or personal belongings, you can load up on all the tailgate essentials for the big game. The best part? You can do it a few days before, so you’re not trying to shove everything into a car or truck the morning of the game.

Not only can you store more awesome gear, food, etc., but you can invite more people! Because of the sheer size of your RV, you’ll take up more space in the parking lot (more on this later). So, you’ll be able to throw a bigger bash both inside and outside of the home on wheels.

Investing in Add-Ons

Some people are such big fans of tailgating, that they add customizations to their RV. This can include everything from adding a BBQ grill to extra TVs, satellites, and more. If you love tailgating, the sky is truly the limit when it comes to what you can do to make your RV a one-stop football haven. Don’t be afraid to get creative!

Consider the Space

While it’s easy to get excited about the possibilities that come with tailgating in an RV, there are some precautions to keep in mind. The biggest one is whether the stadium you’re attending will allow you to park there.

Venues across the country have different rules and regulations about parking, and how much space you can take up. You wouldn’t want to pull up to the stadium in your RV only to be turned away.

So, if you’re considering the ultimate tailgate party in your home on wheels, it’s always a good idea to go over the rules and regulations the stadium has in place.

Tailgating with your RV allows you to get creative and enjoy the pre-game experience in a completely different way. You’ll love being able to invite all your friends, and they’ll undoubtedly be talking about your tailgate parties long after the season is over.
